Health Care
Employers providing services in the health care sector face unique challenges in managing their professional, unionized and non-union staff. The adequacy of funding is a prevailing theme that gives rise to difficult restructuring, efficiency and retention issues often complicated by the change in provincial government and “new” legislation that seeks to manage spending while maximizing health care services available to the public.
CCPartners has provided comprehensive services to a myriad of health care providers from dental offices to large institutional and teaching hospitals as well as those providing services in the long term care sector. Our services have included employment contracts for executives and other professional staff, policy development and training at all levels of the organizations, compensation and pay equity implementation and reviews, and representation in human rights matters.
With respect to unionized staff, CCPartners has dealt with all the major health care unions in the full gambit of labour relations matters including union organizing and certification, collective agreement negotiations and interest arbitration, grievance arbitration and disputes involving human rights and pay equity. In addition, CCPartners has proactively worked with health care clients in addressing complex reorganizations both internal to our clients as well as those involving other service providers.
