Jawdat joined CCPartners as an associate in 2023.
After completing his articles at a national firm, Jawdat worked as legal counsel with the WSIB, specializing in labour, employment, human rights, and workers’ compensation.
Jawdat advises employers on all aspects of workplace law, including the interpretation and application of collective agreements, discipline and termination of employment, human rights, workplace violence and harassment, conflict of interests and ethics, complaints under the Employment Standards Act, 2000, and workers’ compensation issues. Jawdat has appeared at various courts, boards, and tribunals including: the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario; the Ontario Grievance Settlement Board; the Ontario Court of Justice; the Health Professionals Appeals and Review Board; and the College of Nurses of Ontario.
When Jawdat isn’t at work, he is likely watching or playing basketball, hiking, or searching for his next favourite restaurant.
